NOSTALGIA ~ THE CANADA EXPERIENCE ~ CURRENTNESS ~ HISTORY ~ ABOUT ME ~ LINKS

Number of candles on your last birthday cake: 18

Date that you regularly blow them out: August 19th

Pets: A dog, Katie, and a cat, Simba. One day I will have 17 cats and a flock of attack chickens. That'll be fun.

Height: Five foot four inches of insanity.

Current residence: New Zealand.

Hobbies: Singing. Writing songs. Attempting to play my guitar. Reading. Writing. Craft-y stuff. Church stuff - songsters, music team. Going to youth group. Mocking my brother. Listening to music. Going to the occasional concert.

Are you photogenic? No, not particularly...

If you were making a movie about yourself, who would play you? I don't think anyone would want the part... no one could be me. I have enough trouble doing it!

Have you ever told a secret you swore you wouldn't? I tend not to swear I'll keep a secret I know I can't keep - but if I swear I won't tell, I won't tell.

Do looks matter? Yeah. Not to be completely shallow, but before you get to know a person you see them first. I'll quote my avocado twin Carol: Grooming and hygiene is always a good thing.

Last movie you saw at the movies: Would you believe, it was Garfield. In French! I haven't been to the movies since July 9th, 2004!

Best Advice(s) Ever Given to You? The Little Avocado Book of Wisdom, from aforementioned avocado twin. I dove you!

Thing you want to be remembered for: Being encouraging. Being able to laugh at myself - frequently. Music. Being a good friend. Being really weird.

Things you look for in the opposite sex: Good sense of humour. Preferably Christian. Musical? Insanity is always a useful trait, too. Someone who doesn't annoy me too much.

Your Personality type: Haha... annoying? Bubbly. Odd. Friendly. Hard to say, really...

Food you hate: Stuff with too much onion. Or bland food.

Do you pray? Yep. Do you talk to your friends?

Have you ever met anyone famous? Yeah. Brian Platt. He writes great songs. And he's my uncle's brother. Cool, huh?

Do you trust others easily? It depends. Maybe I do, a little too easily. But it depends in what situation. I'm not paranoid, and I have a tendency to talk to strangers... something I really should stop doing. But it takes me awhile to fully trust someone. I have friends I'd take a bullet for, though, and I'd trust them to do the same for me. So that counts for something.

What was your favourite toy as a child? My cabbage patch kid. I still love her.

Have you ever been on radio or television? I think I was briefly on TV once. *shrugs*

Do you like sarcasm? Whatever gave you that impression?

Have you ever been in a mosh pit? Yes. Parachute, woo! And various other Christian music extravaganza's, I imagine.

Do you feel understood most of the time? I don't understand me most of the time. So no.

Do you think you are a strong person? Not physically. But in some ways I'm very strong. After all, I survived Canada.

What's your favourite ice cream flavour? Cookies and Cream!

What class in school is a useless class? Life Skills! Or in Canada, Education and Careers. Ugh... that silly lady. She asked me where I was going next year. I said "New Zealand". She said "oh, is that in Montréal?" I mean, seriously - who is that stupid?

CD in your CD player? Parachute '05 sampler. Yay! Definately looking forward to Parachute this year!

The last thing you said that made people laugh? Not sure - Stuart laughed when I told him not to touch my feet. I was serious, though. DON'T touch my feet!

What do you think of Ouija boards? Stay away – don’t mess with the occult.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? With at least three cats out of the seventeen. *laughs* I dunno... seriously? I haven't got a clue. It's all in His hands.

What do you do when you are bored? Listen to music. Randomly text people. Cross-stitch or knit (do not mock! it's good!) Write songs! Play my guitar.

Favourite

Songs: At the moment?
"My Offering" - Nichole Nordeman.
"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" - Green Day.
"Parce qu'on vient de loin" - Corneille.
"Fools" - Brian Platt

Book: Too many to list. The Bible’s a good read though. (quoting Carol!)

Place: My room. Church. The sitting room in my host parents house.

City / Country: Wellington, NZ. Quebec City or Montreal, Canada.

Vacation: My exchange? Does it count?

Shop: Pagani. Number One Shoe Warehouse!

TV show: Will and Grace, I think.

Foods: Chocolate! Stuff with chili sauce on it. Paninis. Coffee... man, I could so go for a mocha lattè right now...

Day of the Week: Sundays are fun. So are Tuesdays.

Flower: Roses. I know, I know... cliché. So sorry.

Quote: If you've seen the nostalgia part of my site, you'll see all my favs. But at the moment, it's probably this: "May the forces of evil become confused on the way to your house!"

Season: We don't have seasons in New Zealand.

Summer Activity: Being with mates, just hanging. Sitting outside with a good book.

Winter Activity: In Canada I loved watching the snow fall. Here in NZ I like being warm in my house.

Magazines: Don't really read magazines.

Inside Joke: Microgranules! Or NAB. Or Rocky Horror codenames!

Scariest thing that's ever happened while with friends: Terrorising the coffee man! Or buying pizza in a towel! Or getting kicked out of McDonald's for table dancing... one of our finest moments, Jenny!

Best quality in a friend: Compassion. The ability to laugh at you without it offending you. The ability to listen without giving advice. The ability to give advice when you need it. The ability to tell you the things you don't want to hear but really need to.

Do You Have A Best Friend? I'd say that Fi and Carol are my best friends. But they're closer than friends - they're practically family. Carol is my avocado twin and Fi is like my second sister. So in that case, they're better than best friends.

Who do You E-mail The Most? My host mum, I think.

Do you Believe In:

God? Yes.

Yourself? I do think I exist...

Your Friends? Well, when I poke them they seem to be real. (again quoting Carol)

Aliens? c'est possible... but no, I don't really believe in aliens.

Love? I believe in God's love. Not sure about human love, though. Well, some human love, yes. But I think I've somewhat given up on love. Thus the cats. Oh well, c'est la vie.
